Good morning!

It was one of *those* nights, or mornings rather. I woke up at 2:00am, got up at 4:00am and it is now 6:23am. I've spent the last two hours reading LJs of my friends (and a few others as well).

Not sure what I want to say, actually.

I'm a bit lonely. I've not found any groups to join yet, nor volunteering to do nor a part time job. It's just me and the kitties except on the occasions when Bruce is home or I see my daughter.

Thanksgiving was good. The day itself I spent with Bruce, the kids all came on Friday in shifts as they both had to work. But a good and filling time was had by all :-)

Yesterday I wrote some on my followup to what has become a series of stories, the "Remember" stories with my OC hobbits Jebbin and Other. I hope to get to it some today as well, though I have some running around to do and possibly fencing tonight, so writing may have to wait till tomorrow.

I hope you all have a good day :-)

Hey Ya! Do you have any Food Banks near where you live? I know the ones where I am are begging for volunteers. 'Tis the Season.

Hugs!

Where on earth do you people find the time to write all of these stories?

Jeez, you make me feel like a literary slacker!

Best,

The ones that amaze me, Cap'n, are the ones with full time jobs. Several of them that I know write even more stories than I do or they may have a lower story count but more stories with multiple chapters. They must just think and type faster than I do ;-) And many of them read tons of stories as well, we know because they leave responses. I just don't see how they do it. One author, shirebound, has 58 stories on the site "Stories of Arda". Most of them have 6 or more chapters, and I know she has stories posted to special group sites and her LJ that aren't in that count. She's retiring from working full time for the state of CA at the end of this year I think. I'm Suzy Homemaker and have a lot more free time and I don't do nearly as much as some others like her.

I started posting my first Tolkien fanfic story mid or late December of 2002, I now have 74 stories written. Not really that many for nearly 4 years of writing. Most are only 1 chapter long. The biggest is 47 chapters long - my magnum opus.

Lady MW has 18 at "Stories of Arda" and I know she has some that are at "Open Scrolls" but not SOA. She has been writing, well posting her writing, a shorter time than me and she has young children and a hubby who's home everynight, so she also does amazingly well, producing that much with limited time.

I guess part of it is the "you find time for what you enjoy" thing. There's times I've skipped meals or stayed up ridiculously late into the night because the muse was churning out the story almost faster than I could type. Other times, getting the story to come is like pulling wisdom teeth that are impacted.

I enjoy it. Even though I keep living in fear that my ideas/inspiration/muse will dry up. For now, it still keeps on poping out stories and I keep writing them down :-)
