I just received my copy (and copies I'm giving as gifts) of "Recipes for Disaster"

It is beautiful! So very well done. And it is so much fun seeing all these Loon's and fanfic writers' names on the recipes :-)

Applause to:

Pipkin Sweetgrass - It was her idea, her baby. She practices hospitality herself, and is a great cook. I know as I've stayed at her home and devoured her cooking! (YUMMMMM! Pulled Pork!!)

Robin @ Billy Boyd's Loons Charities - She took Pipkin's baby to Billy to have it blessed and then rounded up the folks to do the work of putting it together and getting it on Cafe Press so it could grow up to be a real cookbook.

Robin's workers - You all did a fantastic job of editing and researching so the book is usable to people around the world. Then all the work of typing the recipes into your computers, setting up the layouts and all the other technical stuff.

All the Loons and Tolkien Fanfic writers who contributed recipes.

Help those who have suffered from natural disasters!
Order your copies now, while supplies last!

That they did! Look . . . even Billy is surprised! :D

How ya doin' Wednesday?
Are you supposed to get some of this nasty weather?

Oh, also, I've been meaning to ask you, is Kunga ok? I noticed she closed down her LJ.

Doin' pretty good, considering we're supposed to be getting snow tonight. Bleh.

It's also been raining constantly.

Kunga's doing okay. She just closed down her LJ account because nobody was posting to it, other than me lately. She's got a MySpace page now.

We've had freezing rain off and all most of the day and it's supposed to change to snow and dump 3 - 6 inches on us. Bruce is in Chicago. He had to drive there tonight since it's only supposed to be worse by tomorrow. He just called a bit ago to say he made it ok :-)

I'll have to look for Kunga over at MySpace. I was hoping she hadn't dropped out completely.

Hope you don't get buried tonight and tomorrow!

Et ce qui sere votre first cullinary attempt, Madame?

If Babel Fish translated this properly, you are asking what my first culinary attempt was.

I really don't remember. Cookies most likely, chocolate chip. I remember being in highschool when I first tried doing Candy Cane cookies at Christmas. They are a challenging cookie to do.

Main course type dish would most likely be Spam Goulash, the recipe is one I sent in to be in "Recipes for Disaster".

What was your first culinary attempt?

While BabelFish certainly has its limitations, it is more likely that I wrote my queston incorrectly as I am but a beginner in learning the most romantic of all the romance languages.

Anyway, what I meant to ask is, What is going to be the first recipe that you are going to try from the cookbook? Not that their is anything wrong w/ a ladies cc cookies...and that reminds me...gotta go!
