It is finally winter here. Well, we had a first winter the end of November - early December. I guess this is second winter ;-)

We only had the ice on Friday the 12th, then it all melted on Saturday. Sunday we had almost nothing then this afternoon we started having snow flurries. For a while it is weird snow that was just straight pieces of snow crystals. Then for a while we had snowflake snow. I love snowflake snow, where you can see lots of actual six-pointed snowflakes. They are so beautiful! We're still having flurries.

I'm doing pretty well right now.

I've started reading a book titled: Salt

That's it, just "Salt". It is about salt and how it has affected human society and the world as a whole. It really is very interesting. Little things like that sodium will spontainiously combust, cloride is poisonous - but when they combine it is something that all animals on the earth eat. In fact it is vital to us. Great fun! The horse I had as a teen was named Salty Dog. When I registered him I put his name as NaCl Perro = Salt Dog.

Sarah was over this morning. We went out for breakfast and then she finished a small scrapbook in memory of our cat, Raqad, who we had to put down this past summer. I worked on my England trip book. That's right, the trip was summer of 2005 and I've not even got it past the first of the three weeks we were there. That really should be a goal for this year - finish that scrapbook!

Hugs to you all :-)

*L*! I don't think I ever posted my Scotland pics from the year before last...!

A very pretty snow, yet not so much that you actually had to shovel - very nice.
