My Dad would have been 78 today if he hadn't died in 2002.

Most of my memories of him are from before I was married. Once I was married and pretty much living out of the same state, my mother had a tendancy to not let me spend much time with my Dad. She would monopolize me whenever they visited us or we visited them.

He was a neat person and a good dad.

I'm always so sorry that he died first, I would have liked to have some time with him again.

I should have gone for a chocolate soda today - he and I both always enjoyed those - but I just now thought of it.

I'll go tomorrow and think of my Dad.

Well, chocolate ice cream sodas actually. :-) Chocolate syrup, a wee bit of milk, two scoops of vanilla ice cream and soda water combined in a tall soda glass by an experianced soda jerk. They are a work of art!

*Hugs you back*
Thank you :-)

He sounds like a wonderful father. Enjoy your chocolate soda and your memories. I'm sure your father would think it a lovely tribute.
