It's been a while . . . again.

I'm tired.

I stayed up until about 1:00am on Friday the 30th because I was at Sarah's house watching her dog, Maggie, give birth to 3 puppies :-)

I'm comfortably wearing size 18 jeans :-)

I have a black-on-black Beecake shirt and, thanks to Wednesday, a Beecake EP :-)

I just finished a multi-chapter fanfiction story that was very well received. I'm starting another that is the brain-child of a writer in Germany. She wanted her idea to be accessable to English speakers and asked at a group site if anyone would be interested in writing it. I volunteered and I'm excited about it - I think it will be a good story.

Much is well with my end of the world.

In some of my friends ends of the world, things are rough.

My friend Pipkin's husband is very ill. He had been in the hospital for a couple of weeks (I think) and though he was home last I heard, he is still not well. They are saying he most likely will need a liver transplant.

I have other friends who are being over worked by the not nice companies they work for. It is really wearing them both down. I wish I could help them.

Justin's good friend Josh is still in Iraq. Last I knew he is driving around Baghdad in a truck looking for explosive devices.

I hope all of you who read this are well and that things are good in your end of the world.

You know, you are the first person that I've seen who has managed to get a good photo of that Beecake t-shirt. I've seen some attempts on the site but none of them turned out well enough so that you could read the 'Beecake' on the shirt. I think your Black and White shot is the way to go.

I got an EP thanks to two very generous friends. "Meg" who wasn't going but was able to hook me up with someone who was, and "Kim" who did go and agreed to pick up a CD for a stranger (me)! I am greatful to both of them. I am enjoying the EP very much.

Sorry about your friend's husband. I hope he is better soon.

As to work, well, they made us come in and work Saturday this week. I was there at my desk by 6:15am and allowed to leave at 12:45pm. As you may know, these are not my best hours. LOL I think I slept through most of it but thankfully it is over and I am off tomorrow so that will make up for losing my Saturday.

I am looking forward to the new story. I read the idea when she purposed it and I think the two of you should have a very interesting tale to tell. I am off to write my challenge story now. Late, as always.

I'm so glad you got an EP :-)

I'm glad you get tomorrow off. I'm needing to get moving on my story as well *embarrassed blushing*

I think it's going to be an interesting story to write - and I hope interesting to read as well. I'm really excited about it.

Oh, I think part of why the picture of the shirt came out well (able to read it) is because I took it outside in the morning when the sun was at a low angle. It showed up well in the shot before I changed it into a black and white, but the lighting was bad for me (vanity, thy name is Pearl). I had a weird spot in that camera and sometimes it would be a bit blurry and sometimes it would make things with a lot of light on them look like they were glowing. I was glowing and it looked really weird. I just bought a new camera so that should solve the problem. It didn't happen all the time, but I'm picky about photos. My daughter bought it! LOL! She's not as picky.

Glad you're doing well, Pearl! *hugs*

Not Beornomir?!? Oh, no!
Apr. 2nd, 2007 11:38 pm (UTC)
Yes :-( He was very sick and in a lot of pain so Pipkin had to take him to the hospital. They found out he had an intestinal blockage. While they were running all the tests for the surgery etc., they found out he has cirrosis of the liver. I've not heard anything for a few days now. Last I heard he was home, doing somewhat better, but still very ill.

Congratulations! I have been most curious as to how your efforts in exercise and improved food intake management were going.

Comment on what you said to Grey Wanderer- Do not be ashamed of doing what you must for a picture that you feel is truly flattering. I was just reading this morning that in order to get others to treat you well that you have to start by treating yourself well.

I'm with Wednesday, NOT BEORNOMIR!!! I was thinking not long ago how much I miss his funny huggable self. Beethoven's7th is going to be most saddened too. My prayers and positive thinking to him and Pipkin.

Everyone needs to go to the beach. The beach makes all things better.

Thank you for the congrats :-) and for the photo comment as well :-)

I've bought a new camera, which I most likely shouldn't have done as I'm trying to save money for my trip. Sarah and Michael bought my old one and that went towards the new one. Now, if I can just figure out the new one . . . LOL! It's a Canon S3 IS so it's a whole new system to have to learn.

I'll take a shady spot @ or near the beach with sunscreen. My BP med causes photosensitivity so I have to be more careful now.

I've still not had any new updates from Pipkin, so I don't know if Beornomir is still improving or what is happening. I've asked but she hasn't responded. I'll nudge her again. I'll also let her know that you, B7th and Wed. send good thoughts and prayers their way :-)

Take care of yourself and the family :-) Say Hi to B7th for me :-)
