I've gone and got a paid membership thingy - I wonder if it will be worth it? I'm not sure how to use it to, for instance, use different user pics different places. Oh well.
Ah . . .
I went to the Starved Rock Tolkien Moot and had a wonderful time with Kunga and Wednesday. Missed those who couldn't make it, including Ros, MW and Corvar. It was awfully hot, but we had fun :-)
Which literature classic are you?
J.R.R. Tolkien: Lord of the Rings. You are entertaining and imaginative, creating whole new worlds around yourself. Well loved, you have a whole league of imitators, none of which is quite as profound as you are. Stories and songs give a spark of joy in the middle of your eternal battle with the forces of evil.

This came out perfect - and I didn't even try to skew my responses :-)
Neat! It just started raining again. Most excellent! Saves me having to water my flowers :-)
Still working on "The Blessing" - it's still going well.
Need to write my story for the July Marigold's Challenge.
I've written a waltz for my fiddling. If I can figure out all that needs to be figured out, I'll try to record it and maybe post it :-) Bruce is encouraging me to copy write it and then send it to some bluegrass fiddlers and see if any of them want to record it. It's called "Raqad's Waltz". I wrote it just after having to put our cat Raqad to sleep.
Sarah's wedding plans are moving along nicely. Invitations are all printed up, labels all printed up, some menu changes made.
We are all trying to get the dates set and vacation times arranged for going to Justin's wedding next June. We're hoping to see Yellowstone, Devil's Tower, Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands while we are out there, as well as Glacier Nat. Park which is where the wedding is going to be.
I spent part of the day today deleting the songs off my iPod shuffle and then reloading it. Mostly put back the same stuff but did drop some things and put on some new stuff. Quite the mix - rock, alternative, classical, bluegrass, "new" grass, Christian rock.
Not much else going on :-)
Hope all is well with all of you :-) :-)
Hugs,
Pearl

Oh wow, I hope you get to see that amazing part of our country. I did a post about the Badlands recently, if you're interested...

I think it's very cool that you're writing music! :)
Thank you on the "it's very cool that you're writing music". :-) Bruce and I used to write songs when he just played guitar, but we haven't written any in ages. This is one of very few I've ever come up with the melody for.
Sounds like a nice Moot. I love a good moot!
I have to write for a starter for the challenge this time and keep forgetting to do so! LOL Maybe I'll do that tonight before I forget again. I love the challenge topic so I gotta get one.
Sounds like both weddings are going well in the planning. Promise you'll post pictures!
Take care! Oh, read and loved your last challenge story. I was late reading and still have a few more to read. I was at coaster moot 2007 when the challenge was posted and I am still catching up! Your's was wonderful.
The Starved Rock Moots are very nice. It is a beautiful state park and a nice bunch of folks who attend.
I hope you remember to get your started, we need one of your wonderful stories at every challenge! And thank you, I'm glad you liked my story from the June Challenge :-)
I'll post pictures of the weddings for sure :-)
Lots of hugs,
Pearl
