Hello again after all these weeks

Four weeks according to the info here.

The wedding was wonderful.  There were fewer people there than had said they would come, but that was really the biggest glitch.

The weather was a light overcast, which really was good, no one was squinting very much in any of the photos and no one had the setting sun in their eyes as they were processing to the west end of the garden for the ceremony :-)

The food was wonderful.  The cake was beautiful and tasted good as well!  My hubby enjoyed dancing with Sarah well enough that he asked me to dance with him later - our very first dance together.  Their "Daddy & Daughter" dance was to "My Hero" by the Foo Fighters, because her Daddy is her hero.

A local TV station had come to the Inn to do a Halloween story, the Inn is haunted, and they ended up shooting footage of the wedding party having some of their photos taken as well as doing a small interview with Michael and Sarah as well as shooting their Halloween story.  The next day Sarah and Michael had people around the town recognize them from the broadcast.  They felt a bit like celebrities.

We had company that stayed through Friday and we were pretty tired out on Saturday and Sunday.  It was a wonderful week!

Hope you enjoy the photos I posted :-)

I'm so glad the wedding went well and it really sounds like a great time was had by all. That is so sweet about the father-daughter dance song! Love the icon but I am a total idiot and have no clue where the photos that you spoke of are!
also, did you get my thank you for that lovely little surprise that you sent me? I emailed you but had not heard back and figured you were busy with the wedding.

Oh dear! I had the feeling there was one of those thank yous I hadn't replied to *embarrassed blushing*. I got it and I'm so glad you liked the little sheep and that it is now Dumpling! :-)

I posted a new LJ entry with a link to the photos, I didn't know how to get to them either, so don't feel too idiotic.

I love your icon on here too! Another beautiful wedding. I always wondered if that was Diamond ;-)

LOL Don't worry. I was just afraid you hadn't got my email. The other thing that occurred to me was that, as the mother of the bride, you were not exactly glued to your email! LOL
Dumpling is just darling and I am really enjoying her. Love her little scarf too!

I'm so glad the wedding went well. The dances sound so sweet.:) Like GW, I'm wondering where the pictures are. I'd love to see them.

Weddings on, or around, holidays are so cool to me. I think getting married on Halloween is just too clever. The TV thing was pretty neat, too.

Hope you're recovered from all the activity. But now you just have time for a quick breath before everything starts for your son's wedding, don't you.:)

Take care.
