"I may get weary
Women do get weary
Wearing the same shabby dress
But to one who's weary
Try a little tenderness"
Ah, old song lyrics. I actually was remembering the Rod Stewart version - but I'm not a "young girl" any more. But I am weary. This version is B.B.King's.
I'm getting over being ill, which is good. I went fencing on Tuesday and over did a wee bit, but it was good.
Thank whoever (I'm not sure God is responsible for computer forums) that the Apple forum exists!! Every time I've had a problem, that is where I've found the answer. It is a totally awesome resource.
I cleaned my aquarium today, always a major project. This time I had needed to get a new pump as one of the two I had was suddenly horribly noisy. I also bought new aerator stones for my under-gravel filter tubes and a new long aerator stone to make bubbles in the water. The old ones were losing their ability to bubble properly. Then, just for fun, I bought three White Clouds (fish) to keep my three Neon Tetras company. Now I have a bright, clean happy looking aquarium :)
I'm still improving with my fiddle . . . I think. Yeah. I am. I have to remember to play the music and not just make the notes. It really does make a world of difference in how the end product sounds.
I bought myself some flowers at the grocery store last night. I needed them. I've been hugging BBB a lot lately as well. (stuffed bear buddy :) ) He's a great hug and doesn't get bored and squirm to get away like the cats do. :) "Try a little tenderness."
I'm working on a new story that actually isn't a Marigold's Challenge story :) Speaking of Marigold, I had another story be chosen as a Marigold's Best Bet. As they say in the UK, I'm chuffed. (very pleased, proud)
I'm tired. I have to eat some yogurt, take two antibiotics ("take two, they're small") and then head off to my smooshy bed. Good night, dear friends :)

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Give BBB a big hug for me and I will be looking forward to the story you are working on. You have me in the mood for more since "Pippin's Hands".

Thank you :)

BBB just got your hug.

This story is a dark one, I've no idea when it'll get done - I only have a couple of pages right now :) I'm still flying a bit from your being pleased with "Pippin's Hands".

Well, keep flying. I was more than pleased. I loved it and it was serious fun to be able to post it on my LJ while it wasn't located anywhere else. It was like finding something special and having the chance to share it.
Your story just seemed to be what the symphony was all about. Howard Shore was so very into the music and so happy to be conducting it. His pleasure spilled over into the audience and I could see Pippin rediscovering his own joy in his music when I read your story.

I am glad that BBB got his hug and I look forward to your new story.

I like reading your live journal. You write very well here. We talk so much about so many things that it is hard to believe that you could offer up anything new to me here, but you do. I really love reading what you have to say here. :)

Aw, thank you :) Your's is a fun read too, Myst. Thanks for stopping by :)

*happy that I've met BBB!*

Good point about the fiddle playing. Say, where are your stories posted? And get better soon!

Hi Ros :) BBB says "Hi!" as well :)

Thank you, I really want to make music not just play notes. but I know some of that doesn't happen until you've learned enough of the basics. I found I run scales better going up the scale than down, so I've been putting extra time into practicing the two octave G scale going down. Hoping that'll help when fingering songs that move down instead of up.

My stories are at Stories of Arda:
Look for me in Search/Author/Pearl Took Most everything is there except a story I wrote about Pippin and Diamond getting married and it's getting a re-write :)

You asked a bit ago if the River Ramblers ever play near Indy (you said a friend wanted to know). I need to call them anyway and I'll ask :)

Hope all is well at your end of the world :)

What I find helps me the most with fiddling is - if I can "sing" the tune, I can play it. *G*

Yes - let me know if the RR does play in Indiana! Thanks!
